Hello everyone. I just carved my first letterbox stamp for a box I will be
placing. Based on my skill with the carving tools, I think the term
"artist" is stretching it a bit! Oh, well...it's the thought that counts.
My stamps may get better as I get more experience.
Marty

Marty,
I just finished carving the stamp for my first letterbox (can you
believe it?? I was challenged and so I had to get off my duff and do
something about it!) and I realized today that when I carved the stamp,
I made a spelling error and just now I decided finally not to carve
another one (may turn out worse than the first!). So, it'll always be
spelled wrong whenever it's stamped in someone's book. But it's perfect
in its own imperfect way. I'm sure your stamp is perfect too. I did
carve another one before it, but it was too abstract for my husband who
said that no one will know what it is! (I'm too avant-garde for my own
good - hee hee).
Nisa
:) PS. I'm putting my box out this Saturday barring rain, sleet, or
snow. Anyone want to come down and visit it on Sunday???

Congrats to both of you, Marty and Nisa!
I doubt I can get down your way this Sunday, Nisa. (having frittered
away last Sunday letterboxing in Mass!) But I'm sure I can get down
over the Christmas break (I'm a teacher), if the snow keeps holding
off.
